Hynes Auctioneers was founded by
Donal Hynes in 1965 making it one of the oldest auctioneering firms in the region. Donal's philosophy from the start was to provide a professional service dedicated
to upholding the highest standards. In recognition of this, Donal was inducted
as a fellow of the Irish Auctioneers And Valuers Institute
in 1997.

In 2002 the firm was one of the founding members of Real Estate Alliance, a
strategic marketing alliance comprising some of the country's best-established
auctioneers and estate agents. Real Estate Alliance's key focus is on locally-owned
and established estate agents. With one quarter of the alliance's firms in
business for more than a century, and with an existing IAVI president &
five IAVI past presidents among the group's members, the alliance is characterised
by the established strength of its membership. In addition, membership is only
open to firms led by members of the Irish Auctioneers & Valuers Institute
or the Society of Chartered Surveyors.
Healy Hynes , sits on the board of Real Estate Alliance where he co-chairs marketing.
Healy is also a Past President of Athlone Chamber of Commerce, making history
during his term as the youngest person ever to hold the office.
In 2005 the firm opened a dedicated property management service to better serve
it's growing base of investor clients. Headed up by Liz Dwyer the division
